Is China's anti drug efforts very strong?

Recently, we often hear about some celebrities taking drugs, as well as the news that foreign drug traffickers have been sentenced to death in China. Is China's current anti drug efforts getting stronger and stronger? Or are more and more people taking drugs in China? Are they learning the lessons of the Opium War?
Personally, I think drug control is really a good thing.
