I’m Garry, a plastics manufacturing plant engineer in Eugene, Oregon. The plant I work for uses my expertise and knowledge to work on capital projects management, plant design, and process development. I’m on the mechanical and project management side of things with a focus on conceptual design. I work for a global firm based in Houston.
 
I have a BSME degree, a fancy acronym for a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, from Oklahoma Christian University, which I got in my early thirties while in a career in mobile app development (yes, that’s a career field). I’ve always been drawn to mechanical design – the facilitation of mechanics just speaks to me.
 
So my background, education and career are firmly rooted in mechanics and machinery etc. I sound pretty boring, right? I also have been trying my hand at writing short stories, hence the blog!
