Established in 1986 and based in Cape Town, Tuffy is dedicated to producing high-quality consumer goods that have a lighter impact on the environment than our counterparts. Why? Because we care. As the first manufacturer in SA to be certified for using 100% recycled material in our refuse bags, we believe we can make Mother Nature a little happier, one Tuffy at a time.

But sustainability isn’t the only thing we care about. We’re pretty fond of innovation too. That’s why we’ve incorporated technologies like tuffMAX and freshMAX in many of our products – offering you extra toughness and extra freshness. Read more about our technology. We should probably also mention that Tuffy is a leading supplier in the DOB/Private Labels sector.
