Transmet was incorporated in 1979 as a subsidiary of Battelle to commercialize patented Rapid Solidification Technology (RST) for producing solid metal products directly from a molten state in a fraction of a second.

Today, Transmet, in our 53,000sq foot manufacturing facility in Columbus, Ohio, USA, is the world’s largest supplier of rapidly solidified metal with customers all around the globe. Products include Rapidly Solidified Aluminum Flakes, Cast Zinc Shot, Cast Aluminum Shot, and Stainless Steel Grit.
