Viking Polymers has invested in two state of the art laboratory facilities. One facility is geared toward color development, measuring and weatherability; the other lab is focused on measuring physical properties and compound development. In order to provide the best technical information for our customers, we have invested in several resources. The following is a partial list of our testing capabilities: Torque Rheometer – This instrument is used for compound quality assurance and compound development. The torque rheometer is used to measure compound fusion, stability and viscosity. Capillary Rheometer – This rheometer tests the viscosity of materials over a variety of shear rates. Additionally, the Cappilary Rheometer allows Viking Polymers to measure the melt flow rates of our materials. QUV – The QUV is used for accelerated weathering tests, providing laboratory data on materials exposed to UV rays. The results from QUV tests, provide an indication ... [Details] |
