Founded in 2001, DAK Americas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alpek, which provides petrochemicals and synthetic fibers. DAK Americas offers fibers, monomers and resins, in addition to manufacturing engineered commodity products for the bottled water and soft drink industries. It offers terephthalic acid, polyethylene terephthalate resins and polyester staple fibers. Its products include Dacron, Delcron, HydroPur, SteriPur and Laser. Additionally, it provides recyclable container resins to various companies. DAK Americas also provides a variety of services that include manufacturing, distribution, technical assistance and logistics support services to its clients. The company is headquartered in Charlotte, N.C.
