PTFECOMPOUNDS, INC. was formed in 1992 to fill the void in the compounding industry left after DuPont decided to exit the business. Working closely with and enjoying the support of DuPont, we quickly earned a reputation for outstanding quality and responsive customer service. In fact, we've since received several prestigious supplier awards (from the automotive and aerospace industries) for the quality of our fluoropolymers.
As part of our ongoing commitment to quality and consistency, we chose to seek ISO certification through Underwriter's Laboratory (UL - now DQS), submitting ourselves to a much more stringent and well-respected auditing process.
Due to our consistent growth, we built our modern high-capacity facility in Elkton, MD. Designed from the ground up for quality compounds, it contains state-of-the-art environmental controls, segmented departments (suitable for manufacturing specific medical, aerospace and FDA/USDA-compliant compounds) and proprietary processing equipment with a 1200 lb. capacity. From this facility (conveniently located next to Chemours Fluoropolymers), we are able to turn top quality raw materials into superior PTFE compounds.
