The MetroCrops Story


 MetroCrops, LLC is an urban, high density, indoor (UHDI) farm. Through a 4-year USDA research grant MetroCrops developed the technology to grow high quality salad greens indoors under ideal conditions.


 


MetroCrops’ first UHDI farm is located in a former manufacturing facility on River Street in Bridgeport, CT. MetroCrops is growing and harvesting baby salad greens 365 days a year. All of our greens are grown from certified organic seeds - never GMO. They are hand-picked, hand rinsed, and hand packaged. We use only filtered water.


 


We do not use pesticides or herbicides – there are no pests or weed sources in our indoor grow room. Our plants are high in beneficial antioxidants and other nutrients (based on test results performed in conjunction with the USDA). [Details]
